It truly is THE SIMPLE THINGS :-)
Well, it is my Monday, meaning that I am at the Super flea Market. I look up and see my son-in-law with 2 of my granddaughters.. What a special surprise to see them. Little Evy played "store" with my inventory sheet while hiding dimes under one of the tablecloths.. her precious little left hand holding this enormous pen writing a special note to Grandpa and Ma'ma not to forget the eggs and peanut butter and ice ( her store list ) .... thanks to Brian for bringing 2 angels to brighten up my day. And Adley feeling the fan on her chunky little cheeks saying mamamama,, dadaddad and HI..
It truly is THE SIMPLE THINGS :-)

While going through one of my bookcases, I run across an old book from my Grandmother. It was dated 1933 and had "little finger " writing in it, math, simple words that sort of thing. On one page she had a recipe for biscuits and gravy with bacon grease. I had to smile to myself thinking how time has changed. I remember that big glass jar of bacon grease that as a child we saved on the stove to use for cooking, and many other things, such as vegetables . Soap as well.
Now it is almost scoffed at to save bacon grease or to even fry food or to use grease at all. My oldest granddaughter just loves bacon.. I think I just might surprise her one day and make her a special loaf of soap out of bacon grease. WOW,, I am such a rebel :-) Vic and I have such a fun time spending it together at the "Super Flea Market",, I just love all the positive feedback from our soap buddies .. the repeat customers ( or soap buddies ) are just fantastic. We have gotten to know quite a few by first name and their families. To be able to be apart of their life is such a gift.
The other venders , our close neighbors , are also great.. many of them have also tried our soap , lotion or body butter.. Please come see us at the "Super Flea Market" see what we have in products. I have new bars each Fri as well as lotions and other fun things I have put together. We would love to meet some more new friends.. Simply put,, we will see you there :-) After church on Sunday my husband and I head off to the flea market to sell our products and to spend time together ( yes,, we have a blast together STILL ) so I met up with a gentleman who sells honey.. pure, unfiltered and unprocessed honey. As a matter of fact he has made it his actual business and he approached me to stock up his stores with his honey added to my soap.. I had already used organic honey in some of my bars,, but this is such a difference.. the color , texture WOW.
Then I add the Goats Milk..Good Grief what an amazing soap. I feel like I had discovered a complete new soap.. what a blessing to have such an opportunity.. He sells his pure honey and all different "flavors" at his online store . The Flavored Honey Store.. check it out. Who would have known such a simple and perfect ingredient makes such a huge difference. HONEY..
As I learn how to do the BLOG thing. It makes me laugh how life is so different from when I was a child. My grandchildren see a "stripe" in the sky and they say. "Look Ma'mma,, a space shuttle.. or to see one of my younger grandchildren know how to swipe their little fingers across the screen to see pictures. Either I was extremely sheltered as a child or I just did not get out much :-)
Probably a little of both , all I know is that it is so different.. exciting but so different. Also when I am at the flea market selling my soap, there are a lot of smiley happy people . If I see a military personnel, either proudly wearing their hat with metals or in a wheelchair also proudly displaying their medals in some fashion , I will always tell them thank you for your service.. because without their sacrifice my little flea market booth would not be possible.. nor would my little simple life ,, so thanks to ALL the military service men and women who sacrifice so I can sell my products xoxoxo as well as have my little SIMPLE LIFE |
