MAKING LIFE SMELL BETTER  ONE BAR AT A TIME

read now

summer is here

Is it just me?   Or does it seem to be getting hotter each year!

I know the sun can wreak havoc on your skin, as well as not getting

enough sleep or eating right.

Did you know that lack of sleep can reduce the moisture in your

skin?

as well as decrease the pH level resulting in your skin looking a bit

dull and aged. In addition, you just might end up with bags under

your eyes.

SO,,,,,,,,, Will you (myself included) try to get more sleep? I sure

hope so :-)

Luckily, I can help with your skin, I have lotion and body butter that

are highly moisturizing and smell great!

I can't help you (as well as me) get to bed earlier. But I am willing

to give it my best!

Have a wonderful summer!

Making body butter. it will thicken up after it sets, smells like chocolate!

I think I am going to face the facts.

I am the worst BLOG keeper upper ever! I realize that I should not put unrealistic

expectations on  myself because I end up letting myself down.

NOW, on the other hand, if I was suppose to make a new batch of soap or lotion, I am

all over that lol lol

I just don't like to hold still too long.

Aside from my lack of Blogging,,  I have so much to be thankful for , even if I just put

some of my thoughts here on

our SIMIPLE website I will feel better.

Our business has survived the dreaded COVID ( so far ) .......

When our markets were closed down our customers would call and place orders even if

they didn't need any soap , candles or lotions at the time. Their goal was to keep us in

business. Vic and I are humbled each and every week from our soap family as we refer

to them as our SOAP BUDDIES xoxoxo

Your generous hearts and kind words are noticed and our SIMPLE little company is

forever grateful to you all, near and far

I pray for more kindness, love, patience, transparency and WASH YOUR HANDS :-)

Much love to you all from Linda and Vic

hello my friends!

Hello my friends.

I hope this BLOG entry finds you all happy and healthy!

Sure are crazy times. There seems to be a lot of fear and anger. I pray we all just take a

couple minutes before we speak and make sure to continue to keep all your beautiful

smiles on your faces.

I know it sounds much easier that it is.  I have had struggles just like everyone else.

I pray we all come to a common ground and learn to respect each others point of view.

I pray for all of our little boys and girls to stay safe and strong so when the time comes

they will be able to be strong men and women to protect their families and loved ones.

Vic and I are so thankful for our amazing soap family.

We have some of the most loyal customers and we love you all.

I know there are many that are in a real bad way. business's lost, family illness, not

able to go to school and when school IS finally on, they are canceling dances, proms

field trips,,, on and on and on.

Seems like everything fun.  I have heard such sad stories.

BUT I know that if we all stick together and stay strong and pray for strength, we will

overcome this together. I may sound dorky to some. But it is how I feel.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS ,,,,, this was one of my dad's favorite things to say. Each time there

was a troublesome time for one of my 9 other siblings or myself . I would hear him say

this. And do you know what? It was true. eventually it did pass and I was a better

person for it.

God Bless you all and I hope this crazy COVID goes by by!!

I look forward to when I can see ALL of your beautiful smiles without a mask!

Hang is there!!

Love to  you all :-)

play in the mud this spring break

Shame on me for not keeping up with my personal notes. :-)

I mentioned when I started this I was not so good at writing everyday, I do however

make soap

everyday! I am coming up with new soaps often and having a real fun time doing so. if

you have checked out some of our products you will see we have a few different kinds.

.

Not too long ago I added the "DEAD SEE MUD" bar.    Yes it is actually mud from the

 DEAD SEA.

And it feel just like a wash away mask. The essential oils I use in the bar is represented

of the area the DEAD SEA is located at.

( per the research as well as was recommended by my

research team )

Sounds very official, but the research team is a very close family member that is familiar

with this area having lived in that region , I trust his information.

All I know is that if feels GREAT and has become a very popular bar.

I hope you are able to check one out, either locally or from the website.

Thanks for your ear and have a WONDERFUL spring xoxoxo

Happy Halloween to all of our dear soap buddies.

Times are sure different with the world we live in. I hear talk on the local news that it

might effect our family holidays, like Halloween. Thanksgiving , Christmas as well as

our NEW YEAR celebrations.

I guess all we can do is love one another, work together, and take the time to keep our

little world simple and peaceful.

I pray this blog finds you all well and making the best of a crazy situation.

We want to thank you ALL , our LOYAL soap buddies as well as our website family for

continuing to support us, even if it was not time to purchase a "refill" of your soap. You

know who you are and there are many.

Words cannot express just how grateful Vic and I are. We have the best soap family

ever and are humbled with your loyalty.

I have been able to make soap, make soap, and yes MAKE SOAP with this self

quarantine. So come by and check out our large variety, many new ones and a lot that

are not on the website because it do not have oodles and gobs.

but plenty to sell for a few weeks.

I look forward to seeing you all,

Of course we are wearing our masks, our soap is in boxes except one showing so others

are not touched by others.

We also have hand sanitizer ALL over our table.

We are located  SOUTH ENTRANCE straight ahead, middle isle , food court.

AC67

I would love to see you if your comfortable coming in,

If not, our local special is still going on.

STAY SAFE and we look forward to going back to hugging our soap family xoxoxo

When I think that I will not be able to get a certain butter or oil, it is back in stock. Such

weary of it all,, seriously

I just have to vent for a minute.

I am SO tired of the COVID19 !!

I am a easy going person, it takes a lot to get me irritated and annoyed.

HOWEVER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this crazy virus is effecting absolutely everything and everyone in a

huge way

Not just the obvious ways, but the ways that make it hard to continue to make soap,

I am really picky about the products that I use to make my soaps with, they have

to be the top of the line.. Yes, this is my choice. I am not going to compromise our

soaps because of a  inconvenience.

Some of the suppliers I have used for YEARS are on a 2 month waiting list JUST to get to

my order, the

reason is they are 1/4 of their staff to comply with the Social Distancing, and also to

keep things cleaner than usual.

We are all in this together I know, however this is just horrible, I just want to see my

grandchildren !!!!!

Thank you for letting me vent..

I am sure there are MANY others that have it so much worse than I do.

Again, thank you for letting me vent   :-(

It is our wedding anniversary.

we do
together! How happy I am to be able to share my life with such a wonderful man.

THANK YOU VIC xoxo

ALSO,

Thanks' to all who have served and given the ultimate sacrifice. It enables us to have our

little business and walk freely , talk freely , believe freely, and love freely.

I hope we all honor their sacrifice by living and giving in the most honorable way

possible.

                                                THANK YOU!

Good Morning to you all !

I am so ready to get back out and play soap and candles.

The Renninger's Flea market was open last weekend and Vic went, he said it was nice

to see some familiar faces .

We as a company are practicing social distancing as well as taking extra precautions,

Vic uses a pair of tongs to remove the soaps from the unpacked soaps from their

separate boxes. Vic also wears a mask and gloves at all times.

There is only 1 soap out to see and smell if you choose, and always gloves and masks. T

The Market has the isles marked, the direction to go as well as a reminder to stay a safe

distance apart.

We have sanitizer on our table to make sure to be extra safe as well.

The doors at the market are open and the air blows freely as well as the overhead fans

going full force.

That is all we can do at this point.

We truly appreciate the many orders that we had gotten over the last 8 weeks. it was

because of the orders we are still above water!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts !!

                                                   WE LOVE YOU ALL xoxo

SOcial Distancing

4/24/2020

It has been quite some time in this social distancing that we are all having to do

Vic and I are staying inside building our inventory and getting MORE than ready to go to work.

I am sure everyone else is feeling the same way.

I have missed some very personal events due to the present circumstance of the virus.

My mom passed away  and Vic and I were not able to fly to the funeral, The bulk of the family in Utah

had a funeral, but it looked like only 15 people were attending, and that was because of the guidelines

that they were instructed to follow.

My family had a virtual funeral. The oldest grandchild of each of my siblings ( there are 10 ) spoke.

Only 4 spoke at the service and the other 6 spoke over ZOOM. I am incredibly thankful for the

devices and knowledge to allow this to happen. I did ease the pain quite a bit. xoxo

I also missed my oldest granddaughters 16th Birthday as well as her baptism. This is so painful not

being able to be with family and get hugs from grandchildren and loved ones.

It has taken a toll on our small business but we truly appreciate any and all order that we have been

receiving from our web page. Thank you for all you effort to keep us afloat until this is over ,,

                                                          LET'S PRAY IT IS SOON!!

what a crazy time we are all going through. Vic and I are so concerned with our families and loved ones

just like everyone else is.

We have offered this amazing deal that enables both the customer and Vic and I to keep our Social

Distancing. The mail is being picked up right at our home, outside so there is not contact with any other

human.

It has been very successful and we appreciate everyone and their support of our small company xoxo

Please all stay safe and we look forward to actually talking to you all in person.

Take this time to enjoy your family, to rekindle the fire in your relationships by playing cards, playing in the

yard , bike riding and all the other fun family activities.

We will talk soon,,

on and on and on !

SO,,, instead I will touch on Valentine's Day. Just days away..

I hope you all have fun with your Valentine xoxoxo

Here is what the baskets look like before they are

hidden in yards of ribbon.

As you can see there really is not much room left for

even a business card.

The soaps bow out because they are squished in the

 basket.

The baskets are so cute and sturdy.

I have many different customers ask

 where in the

world did I get such cute baskets!

I had such a great Thanksgiving spent with family and loved ones.

How blessed we are to have family that we are friends with. Enjoy their company and LOVE their cooking!

I know that sounds silly but I have seen some of these Hallmark shows and it just makes me laugh at some of the situations that family get themself into LOL

This happens to be my favorite holiday ever , it is a shame it only lasts one special day.

Oh well, time for our marathon of shoppers and special orders.

I truly LOVE to make my Christmas boxes and mostly enjoy seeing the happy faces at all the bows and smiles.

I look forward to seeing you at the markets or placing your orders
We are truly blessed to be a part of this very special day!

I am so bad,,, really

10/14/2019

I cannot believe it has been so long since I have written .
I am bad at this.

When I was young, my family encouraged us kids to keep a journal. And I was very faithful at writing almost every day as a matter of fact. I kept up the writing for many years, even after I had children of my own.
And truthfully, I have looked back on some of my entries and have been very glad that I have a record of "that day" or " that recipe " or  "that event " that I wanted to tell a family member about or even a friend.
So if you wouldn"t mind, I am going to write a few things down.   :-)

School has started , a few weeks ago , and I kept thinking about how quickly times has just flown by. Our oldest grandchild  is 15 and our youngest grandchild turned 2 in August.
I get such a thrill playing with them and just talking to them and seeing how they look at the world from their young innocent eyes.
Everything is so beautiful and all day long they will discover something new.

HOWEVER I have to admit I am a bit anxious for  all of them ( 10 in total ) to be going to school and being among others that are looking at the world a bit differently. No judgement by any means just seeing things that are not seen in the homes of my young grandchildren.

I know they need to be prepared and able to defend their beliefs and stand up for their personal space and hopefully ward of bullies.
I see how my three children ( and spouses ) are doing such a exceptional job and I should just relax and enjoy the time I am able to Skype or Facetime with them
It sure is a lot different with my own. Good grief the worry about the grandchildren sure takes a lot of  energy .
I can just pray that all is well with them.

How I get some of my stresses out is crafting and yard work.
I am not able to play in the yard like I used to and we know why lol lol lol
I am making soap !!  I enjoy working side by side with my dearest friend that I am fortunate enough to call my husband. VIc is amazing and I am truly blessed. And believe it or not, we actually like each other lol lol lol
I was asked the other day by a customer "Do you like working with your husband ?". I said yes, of course. Then she asked "Don't you get sick of seeing just him all day long?" I said are you kidding me?
Not only is he adorable but he is kind, and funny, and we just have a wonderful time together. And actually when the weekend is over and we have the markets, it is hard to say goodbye.

She responded with rolling her eyes. I actually get a chuckle each and every time I think of her eyes rolling back and was almost disgusted. Poor sweet lady

Well, my time is up, I need to go get some items ready for the market.. Thanks for ready my rambling and have a beautiful week / Season !!

I LOVE Thanksgiving so much, it is my favorite holiday,
In saying that, there is a reason I am mentioning this.
I went to breakfast with my accountant  (AUG) and in the side of the store was a Christmas tree ALREADY UP !!!

I love the holidays just like anyone else, however I will not picture any of my Christmas products until Thanksgiving is over.
I am getting LARGE amounts of orders and I am fine with that. But I am just letting you know what we are doing as a company..

Have a great rest of the summer xoxo

I am pretty pumped to finally have my castile soap ready.. It has been curing for such a long time

if done properly , it will be one of the most luxurious bars that you will use. I am so proud of my soap!

I 'flavored" it with the oils and spices influenced by the original HOMELAND of the castile soap, SPAIN.

I only offer it online due to the limited quantities that are available. Grab some before they are gone.

Thanks,,  HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!!!!!!!

I can't even believe how quickly time is moving !
I know I say this often when I BLOG, however it is so true.

Mother's day is next weekend and I have many bars of soap and or candles just for your mom , wife , sister, Aunt, Teacher , ,,,,
Well,  you get the idea lol lol

If it is a floral type of soap you like there is Lilac, Lavender, Jasmine , Gardenia and Rose. IF you are looking for more of a tropical smelling bar you prefer,  we have Coconut Lime, Coconut Kiwi, Coconut Lemongrass , there are of course others that just smell that good !
Oh, don't forget the food type. Pomegranate mango , cucumber and others.

The candles Vic makes are a wide variety of fun smelling gifts as well. He has made some that smell just like a spa, I just love them. Sea Mist, Black Sea Spray, Orchid Orchard and many others. They are amazing !!
Personally I just love the Orange blossom and the Hot Apple Pie. Even though the hot apple pie is more of a Autumn scent. I can never get enough of it yumminess. I don't even like to eat pies, the smell is a whole different story hee hee hee

We hope to see you and one of our venues soon.
Thanks again !!

BOY is it hot already.
Summer just shows up one day with a heat wave and it does not go away.    DRATS lol lol
I was enjoying spring SO MUCH, all my flowers are blooming and the yard is all so new. I love it.

It's not that I do not  enjoy summer, it is just SO HOT ,, let's hope it is a mild summer with no hurricanes  anywhere. If there has to be a nasty storm, let it be out in the ocean and just come apart before it hits any land. Perfect world right ?    I just hate hearing about the ugly of those storms..

On a happier note,, I have been working hard to keep the website fully stocked. I know I have a few that is out of stock, but they are curing and will be ready shortly..

Thanks to all our awesome soap buddies and your support of our small family company.. We love what we do because of you all !!!

See you all at the markets !
