People get both anxious and more friendly.. if that makes any sense :-)
Anxious for the fact that the Christmas season is just around the corner and also excited that maybe family you have not seen for a few months will be at the Thanksgiving table to share old and new stories. Meet new additions to family and talk about the ones no longer there. Such a wild flow of emotions from all sides.
At our booth on the weekend, the "season" was brought up a couple times, one was a young lady that will not have her father with her for the first time this year , and the other was an older gentlemen that was going to be able to see his son after 2 tours in Iraq. Tears for both , and both so different.
I have been making making gift shrink wrap boxes and other items as special requests as well as for our booth and I can't help but think of some of my family that no longer is with us. Makes you REALLY appreciate all that "family" means and all that it is about, good, bad and indifferent.
I hope and pray at the beginning of this "season",, and all through the "ER" months, that they are just as SIMPLE as they can be..
