spring is here  !

Yup , already spring has sprung.

This by far has been one of the fastest years to me. Time is just zooming and as much as I try to make the most of each day ( and I really try ) there is just not enough time in each day.
I wonder why that is................

Our oldest granddaughter is turning 15 this year , I cannot even believe this. It truly is such a blessing having our grandchildren and they are just little for such a short time.
Speaking of grandchildren. My 2 daughters and my daughter-in-law were expecting at the same time and I can remember that in great detail. Well, this is the year they are all turning 6. WHAT ??????????
NO WAY !!!

Precious angels they all are..

Speaking of spring, Mothers Day, Easter, Fathers Day just to name a few are right around the corner. I have many special gifts for that special loved one in all of our lives.
We just love to see you all and enjoy watching all your beautiful families grow as well :-)
Looking forward to seeing you all

Hello Stranger lol lol
I realize I am horrible at blogging hee hee
I have all these awesome things that happen with our company, families, markets etc. I keep thinking I need to write about this. As you can see I just never make it to the computer.

I had a few ladies contact me and say,,, "Linda what is going on with your blog? We miss your little comments." Quite honestly I did not think anyone read these.
SO thank you to those who take the time to read my simple ramblings.

I have a new item we are working on and trying them out at the local markets. Scented beads.
Vic had them at Pelican Beach park yesterday and WOW, they were a huge success.

Honestly they are perfect for your college student , work area, closet , car or should I say anywhere your would like to "fix the smell " but cannot burn a candle.

We are so excited to have these added to our line of good smelling stuffs lol lol
I plan on having them available on the website soon.    YEAH !!
Till then have a awesome day xoxo

valentines day

I love Valentines Day.. It brings out such cute couples , old and new , and their stories of how they met and some of their favorite dates, family stories, and much more.

Vic and I are very blessed to be able to have such a great repore with our soap buddies that we feel that they are just extended family.

What a special holiday for us here at Simply Mazzara's. Not only to be apart of your very special gift giving but to build such great friendships locally and out of state as well.
Each year we have quite a few vacationers that make it a special day for us when they make it to one of our markets pick up their order , most call in earlier to be able to get their yearly soap. And then to correspond with them throughout the year for their gift giving needs.
How humbled we are to be a part of such a beautiful process.

                                       THANK YOU ALL !!

Looking forward to seeing you all at the markets to hear your stories and see your awesome families!!

off to the races

It is early morning , and the sun is coming up. I hear all the birds and see the squirrels eating and stretch their little bodies toward the sun and getting ready for the day. They all have busy days to keep their young fed and safe. I love to watch and sit and smell the blossoms and wow I could just go on and on !

We are lucky here in Florida that I can sit outside year round and see and enjoy all of this beauty. After about 30 minutes or so I start getting the PULL to get in the house and make some soap.
I tell myself that I am done stretching and relaxing before my hard days at work .

The holidays might be over, but we are still hard at work keeping the soaps and candles on the shelf. I apologize if what your looking for is not listed, either it is out of stock or not on the website at all. I am making the soaps as fast as I can, ( most are curing ) and will be ready by the end of the month.
I had a sweet lady call me from Delaware a couple days ago and wanted some of the soap that she was gifted to for Christmas. I told I would be happy to send her what she wanted, lucky she had the label on the back and I was able to get it for her.. It all worked out :-)

Thanks for all your support and patience while we get re-stocked in the next couple of weeks.
We sure love what we do and appreciate you all SO MUCH !!

I seriously just changed my calendar from last year. TIme is just not too forgiving , is it?
I had such a wonderful time with my hubby ( Vic ) and family. that was in town. I have to tell you I am a huge fan of Skype and Marco Polo. I loved the action shots of the gift opening and the expressions of each of my grandangles.

Vic and I are so humbled at the amount of soap / candles , gifts boxes and baskets that were purchased as gifts for our Soap buddies and their families. If you were a recipient of one our gifts , I have to tell you the thought that went into each gift and the stories that followed were so exciting for Vic and I. How special we felt to be a part of this special day for so many. Some of these gifts were pre ordered, special made but all were filled with so excitement. THANK YOU so much for our small part we played in this beautiful holiday!.   .

Lets all have a safe new years, we look forward to seeing you all back with your beautiful families!

. Thank you again from the Simply Mazzara's TEAM

IT has been a while

10/16/2018

IT has been too long since I have taken the time to write a few words. I have had a few things  happen personally that has been a bit "time consuming".

As some of you may know, I have  a large family. 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Recently one of my sisters unexpectedly passed away from complications to laparoscopic back surgery. It has really made me look at things in a different , clearer prospective.
I have always loved my family. Almost to the extreme. :-)   BUT,,

Can you love someone to the extreme? After the past couple of months, I do not think so.

I have always  had my family on the highest priority, call and sing on Birthdays. don't miss a holiday with a phone call. Always send out cards. Follow up on their children and the exciting things such a babies , baptisms. that sort of thing. Most of them live on the West side of the States. ,, UTAH as a matter of fact. and I am here in Florida. but it didn't stop me or them from calling.

I guess what I am trying to say it that we as a family try not to live with regret. I had recently spoken to her regarding her back surgery and kept up, or tried to , on how her little shop in Virginia was doing. She had at a  time some of our product in her store. Shared pictures and stories. I am comforted in the fact that she was loved by so many, her 5 children, grandchildren and a awesome husband of 38 years. I will miss you Kathy, your tender ways and your kind heart.

Lets try to keep love in our hearts in the CRAZY time that as Americans we are going through.
I am SO thankful for my 3 children, their spouses and my  10 incredible grandchildren. And of course
the BEST SOAP DUDE EVER! He is such a rock star and is there for me in each and every way.
I love you Vic and thank the beautiful heaven that brought us together.

Thank you all for letting my ramble, sharing my heart and shedding a couple tears.
OKAY,, I AM BACK.. TIME TO MAKE SOME SOAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

At this time of year I always reflect on the past year, even though it is only August. This time of year reminds me of when I was a child. Getting the trees ( and there were MANY ! ) cleaned out by the base and adding mothballs to help keep the slugs, bores and other little critters aways from our fruit and nut trees.
Plums, apples, cherries, nectarines, apricots, peaches, almonds, pecans, walnuts, english walnuts and hazelnuts. ~~ I am sure I am missing a couple :-)

Anyway, there seemed to be a slight closer and celebration feel in the air. And it has nothing to do with the Christmas or Thanksgiving holidays,, it just seemed to be a end of something.
We canned tons of the above fruits, for HOURS,, with 10 kids the winters were long and our mouths craved the fresh fruits we had so readily available to us throughout the year.
My dad and brothers would go deer hunting, elk hunting and fishing ~ we all liked to go fishing ~ but that was a lot of meat that had to be prepared and stored.
I know it sounds like a ton of work but we all chipped in and made it happen.

So I hope that this time of year is not only a reflection of the past months of work but the excitement of what is to come !
Happy August and September and HOLD ON OCTOBER< NOVEMBER < and DECEMBER !!

I have pre-orders that are put in months ahead of time and so it has already started ! As well as Christmas boxes and baskets. I tell many that I am stuck in the 80's ( hair and music lol ) which in basket and boxes term are large big bows hahahha
I plan on posting more ideas on SImply Simple and hopefully a video , just plans we are tossing around. We appreciate our soap buddies SO MUCH and love that we are able to be a part of your -friends and soap family -
Looking forward to seeing you back for another whirlwind of a season !!

national treasure

I was honored to meet and pet a national treasure today. He is a wounded warrior, saved hundreds of life’s by sniffing out devices under vehicles and other places. ( I was not privileged to know where he found them ) but he has recovered from a broken back with months of therapy. His owner is retired Army and was on his way to take “ Damon “ to the beach for some fresh air. I was so excited to actually get to pet and get a kiss from this amazing animal! Thank you for your service !

If you look close at his harness it has his info , his military ID is tattooed in his left ear.

Vic goes to other markets each week and the demand for Vegan Friendly soap is huge.
So I modified a few of my soap recipes to help them give a variety of choices.
That's what is nice. I can change my recipes to accommodate our soap buddies and in this case a WHOLE lot of them.As a matter of fact Vic and I are cooking more of a Vegan trend, finding our there are some pretty amazing food choices out there has been very exciting !
we are always trying to improve each of our products so we can be at the top of our game. THANKS to you all !

VIc took this picture of a flower , actually , it is the inside of a Bromeliad.Pretty isn't it :-)

Yup, that dreaded time of year when just thinking about the heat outside makes you sweat.
HOWEVER, this is when many go crazy for our products. Gentle cleansing helps to sooth out those sunburned bodies as well as wind burn. it is so fun to play outside in the wonderful weather, but also to take care of your skin and it will take care of you !
IN a few short weeks school will be upon us and college students are headed out. Many parents give a nice "care package" to their new college student and it is always a hit. send me a text, call or email to place a special order and I will be happy to get that ready for you..
Have a wonderful safe summer and again, thanks for all the support from our soap buddies xoxo
This is where Vic and I like to relax after a hards days work. Listen to birds and smell the amazing flowers and feel the sea breeze ..

I cannot believe how quickly this year is going. Good grief it is already summer.
Here in florida that means preparing for Hurricanes , always somewhat is a stressor , but florida is our home and we love it here.
Father's Day is right around the corner and we have plenty of ideas that will make Dad the man of the hour. ( or boyfriend or brother or whoever else you think needs a cool gift )

Don't forget about our awesome handmade midwester soap dishes. We have both men and women that just love them. English walnut, Blue pine , Fir pine. They are just gorgeous. My brother does such a great job and the feedback is starting to come in on how beautiful they look in bathrooms etc.

Also our candles. Vic does a superb job on them and they are quickly becoming some of our fastest moving products.

Anyway we would love to see you at our markets. The friendships we are building are priceless xoxo

Have a wonderful safe summer and we look forward to seeing you !

IT is so beautiful here in Florida. I just love spring and all the flowers that are blooming. My orchids are just going crazy. I think that they are such a delicate flower. But they are quite hardy, just so beautiful.
My amaryllis are starting to bloom. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
Our Jasmine are blooming, ginger, heliconia , azalea , gardenia, WOW, such a great smell around the yard.
I have Jasmine and Gardenia soaps ( goat milk ) that are at the market ( s ) . They go so fast.
Just let me know if you want any and I will put some aside for you.
Enjoy your spring and stop to smell ALL the flowers.
They are such a gift to enjoy to see and smell.

We are getting alot of feed back regarding the candles that Vic is making.
All thumbs up !

Mango Madness
Jamican Me Crazy
Patchouli
Apple
Pomegranate Mango
Lemon Creme
Hazelnut Coffee
Stress Relief
Lavender
Cucumber

JUST TO NAME A FEW !!!

They are all natural and Vic follows all the candle safety guidelines. I mention this because I had no idea that there was such a thing. I just need to stick to soap  :-)

Anyway they smell wonderful, burn evenly and are all natural.
Sounds ( and smells ) like a wonderful candle !
I am working on getting some on the website, if you are interesed just send me a text or contact me on the contact form.

My yard gnome has been a trooper for the past 12 years in my yard. I do even know how many hurricanes and other weather messes this little guy has been through.  He has the fallen bougainvillea flowers all around him. My grandchildren have played with this little gnome for many summers.. I just love this weathered yard gnome .

I absolutely love my yard especially  in the  spring. The flowers are amazing and the birds are just having the time of their lives.
I feel blessed to hear them sing each and every morning. Yes I do bribe them with bird food, but that is well worth it.
What a beautiful world we live in. I am just feeling very thankful for each day that I am able to enjoy the bounteous gifts in which we all receive.

Okay, my morning wake up songs are over, time to go make some soap..
Till tomorrow my sweet feathered, winged puffy tailed friends. !

It has been SO CHILLY here in Florida. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I know you that live where it snows are laughing at us Florida peeps, but cold is cold and our skin tends to need a little extra TLC. I know mine does and I really appreciate how my skin feels after my shower.
It is so nice to know that our soap is a good feel product, smell good product.

I went to the bank a couple days a go and I went through the drive through. The tellers kept smelling my money,, it was disgusting and hilarious all in one. I reminded them where people hide their money and all the unpleasant part of retail and they said , "it is worth it. best smelling money around" so funny.
People always make me smile :-)

We have many new "soap buddies "  and we WELCOME YOU !!
Good news spreads and we are proud to be apart of this wonderful news :-)
Great soap
Great results
LOW Prices
Easy to work with company

We are proud to be that company.
IT makes us feel so good to hear these comments. We supply the soap to a company up in New York, this adorable boutique  , it is called   Shabby Chic Boutique In New York

I have had some of their customers call me and let me know the results and compliment us on our product. How cool is that?
I sell them mostly Goat Milk soap, their claim is with this extra cold and dry air in New York it seems to help them.

We make many different kinds of soap, most are not on our website due to the quickness of them selling locally.

Vic is making Natural Soy Candles, WOW what a hit they are. I must admit I did not know candle making was such a science , size and type of wicks, different melting types of soy. SO MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF CANDLES
Votive candles
PIllar candles
Dipped candles
Rolled candles
Container candles - this is what VIc makes at this point

there are many other kinds of products to use, but we choose to use soy.
It burns cleaner and is more natural, we use no paraffin or beeswax.

Soon they will be on the website , I just need to figure out a few more details.

So we welcome you to our Simply Soap and Candle Company that love our soap                                                         buddies xoxox

THANK YOU ,,, THANK YOU ... THANK YOU..
I cannot believe how busy we were at Christmas. Thank you so much for all your continued support and business.

I am working my hardest to refill the shelves and get more stock available.
It was so much fun seeing all our snowbirds returning and refilling.
Our out of staters getting their year supplies,
Our local families getting and giving our loved filled soaps and baskets.
And keeping product in our out of state stores we have our soap in.

A lot of work and a ton of fun.
Words cannot even begin to thank you all for your kind words and amazing friendships.

I have been making a lot of soap with organic tea and  it seems to be a welcome addition to our soap line. Cannot wait to get them all out for you to see and use. So far they are selling out here locally the first weekend they are out. ( glad I made a triple batch )
Hold on here we go !!
Thank again all you soap buddies..

Now lets see what we can do for 2018 !!

If you have looked at our products - here on the website - the past few days, you will notice there is not much to purchase.

When I make my soap, I have to plan weeks ahead due to the curing time of the soaps and I was humbled and very surprised at just how quickly our business is exploding. I promise I have soaps curing and will be adding product to our website soon.

We love all of our soap buddies and wish you all a very special and beautiful Merry Christmas.

Thank you all so much for your continued friendship and support of our Simple Soap Business.
                                                           WE LOVE YOU !!
